Two forgeries: false role and false will
- You have two forgeries. Save them for deaths whose displayed role or will can change a later vote.
- The forgery changes both the displayed role and the public will, so a forged death can mislead slot counting as well as result interpretation.

Choose the death that changes claim space
Early game
Do not spend a forgery on a target whose will is unlikely to matter. Investigative and support players with detailed logs create far more misinformation value than a silent, unconfirmed slot.
Mid game
Coordinate the forged story with the kill. A will that accuses a surviving Town player can redirect the next trial, but only if the fake targets and results fit the mode, role list and public timeline.
Endgame
A final forgery can be stronger than another generic fake claim because dead players are normally trusted. Use it where one altered result can close the wrong claim space or save a Mafia teammate.
Keep your cover consistent with the forgery
Forger needs a cover role that does not collide with public visitor evidence. Keep your forged documents and your own public will separate so one does not accidentally reveal knowledge from the other.
Compare the dead will with earlier statements
Town should compare a suspicious death will with earlier public statements. If the victim claimed a different target before dying, or the forged result uses impossible timing, the will may be compromised.

- Medium can relay what the dead player says they actually wrote, directly undermining a forgery.
- Janitor conceals death information; Forger supplies a false role and will. Plan which kind of misinformation helps your team before spending either limited action.
- Spy and Lookout evidence can expose Mafia visits associated with the victim whose will changed.
Decision example: respecting the victim’s published target
An Investigator publicly said they were checking Player 7 tonight. If Mafia kills that Investigator, a forgery that suddenly shows a completely different target may be exposed immediately. A convincing forged will respects what the victim had already committed to and bends the result, not the known timeline.
Common mistakes
- Writing dramatic accusations that the victim never hinted at publicly.
- Using impossible result wording for the forged role.
- Spending limited forgeries on low-information deaths.
