Ready when you are.

Before entering a lobby

The official Town of Salem browser game handles its own account and access requirements. A desktop browser with a keyboard makes rapid chat, player notes and night targeting easier to manage. Choose a mode whose role list you understand before joining a match.

Keep the current setup in view

Read your role’s goal and the lobby’s allowed roles. A claim that occupies the only fixed slot means something different from the same claim in All Any. In Coven games, check which expansion abilities can alter a result before treating an unusual report as proof of a lie.

Make your first reports useful

Record the night number, selected target and exact feedback in your last will. During discussion, separate what the game told you from what you inferred. Ask a pressured player for a complete claim and action history, then compare it with independent reports and the available role slots.

References to open between matches

The role library explains individual abilities. Investigator results and Sheriff results help interpret feedback. Review last-will templates for a compact log or VFR for structured daytime claim gathering.

Accounts, Premium and free trials

The original Town of Salem uses a game account, and access depends on that account’s entitlements. Premium access and the Coven expansion are different products. A new account using an eligible referral code receives five trial games; that trial does not mean the game is permanently free. Check the access shown by the official client before joining a queue.

Playing with friends

Use the client’s friends and party controls to gather players before selecting a mode. For Coven parties, every member must have the required access; the party interface shows Coven ownership. Coordinate the lobby choice before queuing, then keep hidden-role information inside the channels permitted by the match.

If Town of Salem is not loading

Wait for the game window to finish opening, then use Reload if the client stalls. Check your connection and browser updates, and distinguish a page-load failure from an account login or game-server problem. If sign-in is rejected, use the official client’s account recovery controls instead of creating multiple accounts or sharing a password in chat.

Before the next match, adjust chat size and interface settings. The saved-will controls reduce typing when a night result needs to be reported quickly.
