Quick answer: Transform on full-moon nights and perform a powerful rampage-style attack that can kill the target and visitors.
Alignment / classNeutral Killing
Primary jobUse burst-kill nights to remove opposing players while surviving the quiet nights when your offensive pressure is lower

Rampage, Basic defense and staying home

  • The Werewolf has Basic defense. Its Powerful rampage is available on Night 2 and every night from Night 4 onward.
  • A Werewolf attack can punish multiple visitors at the chosen house.
  • The Werewolf may stay home and attack visitors there on relevant nights.

Full-moon schedule in the original game

Night 1: no rampage. Night 2: full moon. Night 3: no rampage. Night 4 and every later night: full moon. Do not continue an alternating-night schedule into the endgame; that changed in patch 3.2.5.

Choose traffic on a full-moon night

Early game

On Nights 1 and 3, focus on the public game and avoid a claim that requires actions you cannot consistently produce. Your day credibility must carry you through the nights when no Werewolf kill is available.

Mid game

Choose rampage locations based on traffic. A confirmed investigative or protective target can attract several visitors, creating more value than attacking an isolated suspicious player.

Endgame

Moon-cycle timing becomes transparent in a small lobby. If everyone knows a Werewolf night is coming, choose between attacking the obvious target and staying home to punish visitors who expect to catch you elsewhere.

Keep the cover compatible with your schedule

A fake visiting role is risky because Lookout/Spy patterns around Werewolf nights can create large contradictions. A simpler cover may survive longer if it does not promise precise nightly results.

Read rampage deaths in their night context

Town should compare mass-visitor deaths with likely high-traffic targets and the moon schedule. A player whose public plan repeatedly steers visits toward the eventual rampage deserves attention.

Important interactions

  • Lookout can be caught by a rampage while trying to watch the same high-value target.
  • Doctor/Bodyguard plans need to consider whether visiting the likely victim exposes protectors to the same attack.
  • Transporter can redirect a planned attack and radically change which house becomes the rampage location.

Decision example: werewolf target choice

A revealed information role has attracted Doctor and Lookout claims. On a Werewolf attack night, that house may contain several visitors. Targeting it can produce a much larger swing than attacking a lone suspicious player—provided the resulting death pattern does not expose your public cover the next day.

Common mistakes

  • Attacking low-traffic targets when a predictable visitor hub exists.
  • Ignoring the public moon cycle when building a fake will.
  • Using a visiting cover that cannot explain why your results disappear on quiet nights.
