Bug feedback and faction destinations

  • Faction visit information can reveal where coordinated evil actions went without revealing every exact role.
  • A bug can provide target-specific feedback about what happened to the watched player.
  • Visit patterns need context because multiple faction members may visit for different reasons.

A Mafia visit does not clear its recipient

Disguiser can visit a Mafia teammate. Consequently, your Mafia-visit list can include a Mafia player as a target. Keep the bug report separate from the faction visit list, and do not mark every recipient as “not Mafia.”

Build a destination history without inventing identities

Early game

Choose bug targets who are likely to be attacked, controlled or investigated. Pair the bug feedback with faction visits rather than reading either stream in isolation.

Mid game

Keep the destinations and multiplicities reported for each faction. A Spy log does not identify which Mafia member made a particular visit, so it cannot by itself contradict a named player’s denial. Use Lookout identities, role feedback or other independent evidence to connect a visitor to a destination.

Endgame

As the living Mafia/Coven pool shrinks, visit information becomes more attributable. Old logs that were ambiguous with four evil roles can become decisive when only one visiting role remains.

Keep bug results separate from faction visits

A Spy claim should preserve the faction visit list and the bug target separately. Mixing them into one narrative makes it harder for Town to verify what came from the game and what is your inference.

Ask for logs written before the accusation

Ask a Spy claimant to produce consistent visit logs from before the current accusation. Fabricated Spy claims often become too conveniently precise only after a target is already under pressure.

Important interactions

  • Blackmailer, Consigliere, Janitor and other Mafia roles create different visit patterns that can be compared with the Spy log.
  • Transporter can move the apparent target of a visiting action and complicate simple “Mafia visited X” conclusions.
  • Lookout sees individual visitors to a watched player, creating a powerful cross-check with the Spy’s faction-level movement.

Decision example: a Mafia destination near a cleaned death

Mafia visits Player 6 on the same night that Player 6 dies and a Janitor is later revealed. That pattern does not identify which Mafia member cleaned, but it supports a cleanup explanation. If a Lookout also saw a specific visitor, the two independent sources become much stronger together.

Common mistakes

  • Treating a faction visit as proof that the visited player is evil.
  • Combining bug feedback and faction visits so loosely that the raw evidence is lost.
  • Forgetting to compare today’s visits with older nights after a Mafia role flips.
