Visits turn private actions into an interaction graph
Many Town of Salem investigative roles become stronger when you stop reading each result in isolation. A visit links an acting player to a target at a specific time. Combine several of those links with deaths, protection, roleblocks and claims and the board begins to form a graph instead of a collection of stories.
Lookout-style information
A visitor list can confirm that someone reached a target, but it does not automatically tell you why they visited. A Doctor, attacker, roleblocker or other visiting role can share the same destination. The correct follow-up is to compare each visitor’s claim with the outcome on that target.
Spy-style information
Spy identifies faction destinations, not the individual Mafia or Coven member responsible for each visit. A faction visit to Player 8 cannot by itself prove that Player 3 visited 8. Combine the destination with an independent visitor record or other evidence before challenging a particular person’s non-visiting claim.
Transports and redirection
A transport can make truthful players appear inconsistent because the action resolves on a different player than intended. When the night is mechanically messy, create two columns: intended target and resolved target. That simple habit prevents a large class of false accusations.
Build independent chains
Town of Salem investigation results are strongest when they do not all depend on one unconfirmed premise. A Sheriff result, a Lookout visit and a roleblock can form three separate constraints. If all three only “work” because you assume one player’s unverified claim is true, the chain is weaker than it looks.
Target selection
Choose visits that can resolve live questions. Watching or checking a universally accepted player may feel safe but often yields less information than targeting a contested claim, likely kill target or player whose result can be cross-checked by another role.
Disguiser can change a visitor’s displayed identity
Lookout is not an identity-proof system. A Disguiser can make a Mafia visit look like another player’s visit. Lookout also identifies at most three visitors, so a missing name may reflect the limit rather than proof of staying home. Compare overflow feedback, Spy logs and the available Mafia roles.
